I’m glad you’re here. While I don’t mind traveling solo, company (that’s you) is always welcome. I answer to many names and titles, but to my friends and family, I’m Jordi. Now that you have joined my journey, you can call me Jordi too. I’m glad to see that you also have an interest in ethical fashion. I decided to start this blog when I discovered that there wasn’t a lot of resources for ethical fashion. It was even more frustrating that even that little information didn’t apply to me, as their recommendations didn’t apply to plus size ethical fashion. Since I always love doing research (yes, I’m a nerd) I have taken it upon myself to gather resources for us.
In these spaces you will find valuable information, tips, ideas and inspiration for living a sustainable and ethical life. I may not always explicitly state that it’s plus size, but I am making a commitment to you that I will not include a brand or resource that do not at least include a few plus size options. Unfortunately, with the plus size ethical fashion industry still in development, there isn’t a lot of selection in regard to availability and style.
Experience
I have had quite the journey to get to this point. You’ll be surprised to see exactly what each experience has given me. I served in the US Navy for 6 years, then began a short career in retail management while I was getting my Bachelor of Business Management. I then dawdled between corporate and government positions, before going back to school for my Master of Business Administration. Which has brought me here.
With a strong business background, I will be providing industry updates as well. In my research I have seen a number of bloggers in the ethical fashion world fall out because of loss of motivation, they don’t see that they’re making a difference. By looking into these industry updates, I have been able to see that we indeed have begun changing the field. Great things take time. Step by step.
